"Bastian's Wanderings" is the second album of the StarBast Chronicles, consisting of 11 tracks that embody the internal and external journeys of the protagonist from Holger Schmidt's book. The music of the album is not just a background for the narrative, but a key to understanding the complex emotional quests of the hero, who, while traveling across Europe, reflects on great historical events and personal experiences.
Each composition is a separate chapter of a musical novel, where rock, jazz, and blues from the 70s and 80s help to reveal the philosophical and psychological dimensions of the story. Inspired by classical literature, such as Homer's "Odyssey" and Joyce's "Ulysses," the songs of the album immerse the listener in the atmosphere of intellectual art rock.
The album is not a collection of diverse compositions but a cohesive piece, essentially a rock opera, which is best experienced from beginning to end to fully dive into the artistic concept. However, for those who prefer a more accessible introduction, we recommend starting with the tracks "Hamburg" and "Dublin." These songs may well serve as your gateway into the full story.
Modern sound and the participation of world-class musicians add a new layer to the perception of the narrative. This is an album that prompts reflection on the meaning of life and the path of every individual.
"Bastian's Wanderings" is more than music; it is a manifesto of unity between listeners and musicians.
"Bastian's Wanderings" is a musical journey where each melody unveils the deep intentions of the author and invites thoughtful reflection. Don't miss this event in the world of intellectual art rock!
